Strengthening the Eye Health Workforce
Imago is working toward practical training and mentorship models that support community health workers, ophthalmic assistants, ophthalmic nurses, residents, and young ophthalmologists involved in eye care delivery.
Our approach connects primary eye care training with surgical capacity-building. At the community level, we support early detection, timely referral, and continuity of care. At the surgical level, we believe simulation-based training, combined with mentorship, can help young surgeons build confidence, improve safety, and gain efficiency before and during live surgical practice.
Imago is interested in partnerships that can support ophthalmic surgical simulation equipment and structured mentorship programs, helping strengthen the next generation of safe, confident, and effective eye care providers.
